Southern Nagano Yakiniku BBQ Festival(南信州焼肉天国）took place in downtown Iida on 29 November 2025, organized by Southern Nagano Yakiniku Council which is led by our member, Mr. Fujimoto.
Total 144 persons including participants from outside of Southern Nagano gathered on the main street of Iida, which is not usually a pedestrian zone. 36 portable stoves with iron plate and 72 benches were placed on the intersection for temporarily.
Each guest got 250g of various types of meat, including wagyu, pork, mutton and beef offal. The meat were grilled on a hot iron plate by the guest and eaten with Iida-style yakiniku dipping sauce, which is slightly spicy than ordinary dipping sauces which can be found in yakiniku restaurants in Tokyo.
Southern Nagano Yakiniku BBQ Festival will take place on 29 November each year. However, the festival will take place on previous Saturday or Sunday in case 29 November is weekday.
